low space warning on resources root partition

Description

Free space on the root partition of resources.ovirt.org is around 20%.

According to monitoring free space dropped radically from 80% to 29% around 12:00 GMT on 15.02.2017 - need to confirm what changed around that time to confirm if any data/caches started to get stored on the root filesystem and move them to the dedicated data one.

Thanks for confirming, deleted. As noted before, this directory lowered free space to 29% while our low space warning is at 20% which got triggered today. Now free space is back to 76% so we're good.

Still. why did Icinga trigger just now instead of on the 15th?

yeah I think It may have been me (It looks compatible with how I set disposable names), I forgot about it.

Thanks for the hint Barak, looked through the disk and the cause is /root/test_foo - a directory with 9.2G files in it dated Feb 15 12:10 which matches monitoring time stamps. I assume it can be deleted safely.

- I see you worked on Resources on that day - can you confirm that this directory is no longer needed?

Hmm, it might be repoman putting files in /tmp , please check if that is the case.
