Description

Hello.
We've initiated the "vdsm-imaged" project, and need to change its name to
"ovirt-imageio". what should we do?

Done, though groups can't be easily deleted so just leaving it there for now.

Yes, ovirt-imageio project seems ok.

But we have the stale ovirt-image-proxy project that was merged into
ovirt-imageio:
https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/admin/projects/ovirt-image-proxy

We can delete this project and the group ovirt-image-proxy/maintainers
etc, since
the maintainers were merge into ovirt-imageio as well

Let me know if you need anything else

Project created:
https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/admin/projects/ovirt-imageio

The old project has been disabled (vdsm-imaged)

Former user March 15, 2016 at 3:18 PM

sure

Eyal Edri March 15, 2016 at 3:01 PM

can you handle the new repo creation?

We just started this, so gerrit history is not very useful, I will be happy
with a new project if this makes your life easier.

Former user March 15, 2016 at 2:22 PM

technically is way harder renaming in gerrit than just creating a new repo, if the history of gerrit patches is not relevant, creating a new one is way easier (the git history is still kept, just the gerrit patches history).

Nir Soffer March 15, 2016 at 1:37 PM

Rename or new repo are not important, if we can import the old repo
contents automatically.

Also the ovirt-image-proxy was merge into ovirt-imageio since both
projects share the same infrastructure.
