The text is actually not that important slightly smiling face its a suggested template to what should the commit message look like:

Upstream bump: vdsm(12345678): Some commit title from upstream Bumping upstream commit for vdsm in upstream_sources.yaml to: (more info about upstream comment goes here)

where:

  1. vdsm stands for the name of the upstream project to recognise it instead we have more the one source in upsteam_sources.yaml

  2. The number in brackets is the 1st 8 digits on the upstrem commit hash

  3. We need to ensure the generated commit message meets guidelines for a good message including the length of the 1st line and the body lines, so we might need to trim the upstream commit title a little and perhaps add '...' if we do.
