Add IPv6 monitoring

Description

We fixed problem with ICMP monitoring on IPv6-enabled hosts in Nagios but we nous need to make sure we monitor IPv6 access too.

Thanks Marc for setting this up!

I’ll add IPv6 ping/HTTP checks to enabled infra services, specifically:

  • www

  • lists

  • gerrit

  • glance

These are the only ones that have AAAA records on the ovirt.org zone file.

I added IPv6 on the monitoring host and in the DNS and restarted the services and it seems to work fine.

Now we need to add IPv6 ICMP check for hosts supporting it. I’m not sure how to exclude IPv4-only hosts.

Also others tests might be good to split too, like http checks and we need to identify them.
